With over two decades of multifaceted experiences in higher education, academic administration, and institutional development, Dr. Bedanta Bora has consistently endeavored to contribute towards organizational growth through visionary leadership, strategic planning, and collaborative executions. As an Academic Registrar at Cotton University, he currently oversees the University’s academic governance and related compliances. His key responsibilities include ensuring Academic Brilliance of the University with accentuation on the following domains -

  • Policy Formulation and its Successful Execution
  • Ex-officio Secretary of the Academic Council
  • Facilitating Meaningful Teaching-Learning Delivery
  • Custodian of various Academic Programs
  • Coordinating Student Admission/Enrolment (UG to Ph.D) Process
  • Liaising with Regulatory Bodies for confirming timely Academic Compliances
  • Endeavoring in building Core Competencies amongst Academic Fraternity of the        institution

Previously, at Sikkim Manipal University, Dr. Bora served in multiple capacities for nearly 18 years—beginning as a Lecturer and culminating as Head of the Department of Management Studies. In this tenure, he not only mentored students across MBA, BBA, and B.Tech programs but also contributed significantly towards institutional excellences. He was instrumental in revising curricula to align with industry needs, supporting accreditation processes, organizing international conferences, faculty development programs, and spearheading entrepreneurship initiatives as a Senior Project Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC). His responsibilities comprised of teaching, training, executive education (MDPs/EDPs) and exposure in development sector to act as a facilitator in up-scaling core USPs in the institution.                                                                                             

Dr. Bedanta Bora’s research credentials unfold over 75 publications, including articles in reputed Scopus and ABDC-listed journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. His contributions also include successfully guiding two Ph.D. Scholars under direct supervision, both of whom have been awarded their doctoral degrees, reflecting a commitment to academic mentoring and research leadership. He has also served as a Doctoral Thesis Examiner for premier universities like the University of Madras and Anna University, and holds editorial positions in multiple peer-reviewed journals too.

Dr. Bora’s International Exposure—through key note address, speaking engagements, panel discussant/technical chair, rapporteur, visiting roles, committee memberships, foreign collaboration and participation in International Conventions in over two dozen countries (near about 25 Nations)—has allowed him to develop a global outlook and foster meaningful academic linkages therein.
