About the Office of Dean, Research and Development (R&D)

The office of Dean, Research and Development (R&D) is responsible for planning, monitoring and propagating research activities of the University in consultation with the Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, all Deans of faculties, Heads and faculty members of the Academic Departments of the University. The office is responsible in reviewing the research projects to be submitted to various agencies by the faculty members of the University to ensure that the projects are in order. It coordinates all research activities of the University and takes up the related matters with University authority. It also monitors the progress of research projects carried out in the University. The office looks after all R&D consultancy projects undertaken by the faculty members and technical staff of the University. The office initiates the selection of Research Fellow/Project Fellow/Associate etc. with Dean, R&D as the ex-officio Chairperson for all selection committees. It takes steps for Industry / Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) - Academy interaction / interface for R&D activities by initiating the signing of MoUs. The office also co-ordinates the Summer Projects of students covered by fellowship from INSA and other Agencies/Academic bodies.
