Dean, Students’ Welfare
The Dean, Students’ Welfare shall be appointed by the Vice Chancellor from amongst the Professors of the University with the approval of the Executive Council. The Dean, Students’ Welfare shall hold the office for a maximum period of three years. The Dean, Students’ Welfare shall be eligible for reappointment. S/he shall discharge duties in addition to her/his normal responsibilities as Professor of her/his Department of the University.
The Dean, Students’ Welfare shall:
- Act as the Chairperson of the Students’ Advisory Council
- Organize programmes/activities to strengthening of the student-teacher, student-employee and student-society relationships.
- Coordinate the process of selection of students for awards, prizes etc.
- Be overall in-Charge of Students’ Placement Cell
- Be overall in-Charge of Students’ Grievance and Redressal Cell
- Nominate Faculty in-Charge to various sub-committees constituted for students
- Be in-Charge of Students’ feedback system and apprise the Vice Chancellor in this regard.
- Function as an Advisor to the Cotton University Students’ Union
- Discharge any such other duties and responsibilities assigned to her/him by the Vice Chancellor time to time.
