Collection Overview
The Library supports the educational needs of all academic departments at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. We house one of the unique collections of art materials in the North East India including strong collections ranging from art, photography, communications, journalism, and film/video to resources in arts management and marketing.
Our collections include a general circulating collection, periodicals, audio-visual, film and teaching materials collection, and some important rare collections including reports and books on various subjects like Religion, Sanskrit, English, Assamese, Islamic studies, North –East India and etc of last part of 19th century. There are two repositories of prominent academicians of Assam namely Dr Surya Kumar Bhuyan & Dr Pabitra Sharma.
Apart from these, to expand the horizon of e-Resource in our college an e-Resource centre has been opened in association with NLIST, DelNet and Bibliotech in the library building. This centre is entirely digital. The services include providing millions of online e-Resources like Academic Journals, e-Journals, eBooks, Magazines, News Papers, Reports, Reviews, Biographies, Primary Source Documents, Non-Print Resources, Trade Publications, Pamphlets, Government Documents, and Dissertations etc.
